From excess humidity to flooding, there are any number of ways a wood floor could sustain water damage. Moisture might collect under a door or near a leaky window. A plumbing pipe might burst. An icemaker or freezer might lose a connection. Or the power might go out allowing moisture to build up, particularly in a humid climate like Houston's. No matter how it happens, even a small amount of water can damage a fine wood floor. And it takes skilled professionals like the craftsmen at Schenck & Company to define the problem and provide solutions to get your floor back to its original beauty.

For the convenience of our customers, we offer professional-quality floor buffers, WOCA oils, a variety of maintenance products to help you protect the investment in a fine wood floor. We are excited to offer our customers a mill-finished flooring option that is cost-effective, sandable and maintainable. We can help create custom wooden beams for your home and we also offer a selection of handcrafted tables. Because our products should be personally matched to your specific project's needs, please call 713-266-7608 or e-mail us to make a purchase.

At Schenck & Company, we pride ourselves on environmental consciousness - in all aspects of our business. Though it may seem at first counterintuitive, we understand that wood is, by nature, among the most sustainable of flooring materials. Good forest management makes it possible to harvest hardwoods with minimal impact on the environment. And the energy used to create wood floors is substantially less than to create most other flooring. Yet at Schenck & Company, we go several steps further in the quest to be green.

When you hire Schenck & Company, you can be confident that our well-mannered, uniformed, full-time employees - not subcontractors - will be respectful of your home. For your convenience, our crews strive to arrive promptly, in well-marked vans that will be welcome in your neighborhood. And we leave every project as clean or cleaner than we found it. We realize this is your home, not a job site. That's just one of the many benefits of working with Schenck & Company.

Interior designers, contractors, and homeowners will feel at home in our 20,000 - square - foot showroom and workshop, which is centrally located just north of downtown on the edge of the Heights. Visual aids can be handy, especially when it comes to designing a new wood floor. As a service to our clients, Schenck & Company is happy to offer computer-aided overlays of flooring patterns and designs onto your floor plans. These CAD drawings can be useful in visualizing the flooring layout with respect to the overall floor plan and the scale in relation to the areas.
