Like the Masters' enduring classics, each Mission Hardwood Floor is an original work of art, touched by inspiration and nature's own unique imprint. For half a century and four generations, Mission Hardwood Floor Co. craftsmen have been, and still are, creating each floor with fine woods, unique inlays and borders, finished in classic designs or individualized to reflect their owner's very own taste. Using new or reclaimed pieces from over 300 species of wood, our craftsmen finish each floor to exacting standards, creating a unique piece of art that will never be duplicated.

There are so many variables, from the wood species, wood grades, the color of stain and the sheen of the clear coat, that every floor has it's very own unique character. Additionally, we can color or stain the floor almost any color to assure a perfect flow with the design you are trying to match or achieve. Also, solid hardwood flooring can be refinished several times, which will give you the option to change the floor's character and color at a later time. A solid hardwood floor is made for the ages and will usually outlast your home, providing decades of reliable service while enhancing the overall beauty of your space.

There are as numerous ways to install flooring as there are flooring and installers. However, in our almost 50 years of business, Mission has come to adopt a process that is endorsed by the National Wood Flooring Association as standard. In fact, we are a founding member of the NWFA, and have helped establish consistent installation standards in the industry. Frankly, to install a floor any other way involves risk, risk that is senseless and ill-considered in such a long term investment as wood flooring.

On an engineered hardwood flooring plank the top layer (wear layer) is usually solid hardwood but much thinner than a solid plank of hardwood flooring. The installation ofengineered wood floorsis much faster than a solid hardwood floor but it can not be refinished as often, if at all. Most engineered products are pre-finished, which saves time on site as well. We will meet you either in our Scottsdale showroom or in the comfort of your home to discuss your vision and your flooring needs. We will discuss wood species, hardness, character and the color of your new floor.

Like our residential division, our commercial flooring division is a full service flooring company. From concrete slab preparation, design work, resilient flooring, engineered hardwood floors, solid hardwood floors and all hardwood flooring services, Mission Hardwood offers it. We can handle all aspects of commercial flooring installation from start to finish. We have concrete grinders, sanders and polishers in all sizes, so no project is too large or too small. Also, we know how important production is to our customers, so we offer crews that work night shifts, weekends or whatever it takes to accommodate your specific needs.

Surprisingly, considering our local climate, the most common reason we are called to repair a hardwood floor is water damage, closely followed by termite damage. In either case, we will take care of the repair for you fast and professionally. We can match over 300 species of wood, any stain, color or pattern your floor holds. Our experienced craftsmen will isolate the repair to the damaged area, replace and/or repair it and finally blend it in to make it almost impossible to find the previously damaged areas.

Sanding and refinishing of solid hardwood floors has come a long way in the past years. Our sanding equipment has become virtually dustless, stains and finishes are low V.O.C, and curing times have shortened. Once stripped, we trowel fill the floor to remedy any separation of planks, little nicks and cracks in the wood. Next, we sand and hand edge your floors once again. After this step we apply the desired color or stain to your floor. If undecided, we can place sample color swabs on your floor for your selection at this point.
