Harris Landscaping seemed great at first, but it turns out they installed the wrong kind of sod, and when it all died and turned to weeds, they spent two months promising they would replace it, and on the day they were supposed to start the owner's son calls me and tells me they can't do it and that it is MY fault for not hiring a spray guy to treat it. I did, in fact, have the yard sprayed as they advised, but no one said it had to be an ongoing thing--that drunk idiot Danny was apparently supposed to but was too hungover to remember those details.

I reminded them that I hired THEM to be my all-purpose lawn care--that was the deal that I made clear to them: I don't have time to mess with the yard, so I am hiring you to put in new sod and I will pay you monthly to keep it green and healthy. I gave them money, but my yard looks like shit, and instead of making it right--LIKE THEY PROMISED FOR TWO MONTHS THEY WOULD DO--at the last minute Mr. Harris decides to turn slimy and hide behind his skeevy lawyer. Now, I have to take these bastards to small claims court to get my money back.

And here's the rub: he actually admitted it was bad sod, and gave me the money back for the cost of the sod itself, admitting they were wrong to have used it, but refuses to reimburse me for the much higher cost of labor, or provide it himself as he said he would, so I still can't afford to fix the yard. Stay away from these idiots.
