Johnson Tree

Founded in 1980, Johnson Tree has been a trusted leader in tree care for over four decades. Our expertise spans tree sales, pruning, removals, and specialized consulting services, delivered by a team of certified arborists with deep local knowledge. We pride ourselves on ethical practices, fair pricing, and a commitment to quality that has made us the oldest and most respected tree services company in South Dakota. Our founder, Charles Johnson, established the company with values of integrity and excellence, which continue to guide our operations today. Under the leadership of David L. Johnson, a Registered Consulting Arborist and graduate of the ASCA Arboriculture Consulting Academy, we combine technical expertise with hands-on experience to serve residential and commercial clients across the Black Hills region.

Our investment in advanced equipment, including the largest tree-moving machine in the area, ensures we deliver reliable, safe, and innovative solutions. We specialize in complex tree work, from hazardous removals to transplanting mature trees, backed by the best warranty in the business. Our teams certifications, including ISA and ASCA affiliations, reflect our dedication to professional standards and continuous learning. We prioritize customer education, offering guidance on tree health, pest management, and species selection tailored to local conditions. For generations, we have nurtured the natural beauty of the Black Hills, one tree at a time, earning the trust of neighbors and industry professionals alike.
