It may be nostalgic, but at Billings Media Blasting, we really can make what is old new again. This is especially true when it comes to using media blasting for surface restoration of historical and aged architectural features on buildings, railings, or monuments and more. Our ability to blast with different media like dry ice, walnut shells or very fine abrasives allows us to be very gentle and exacting. Whether we are removing oxidation, paint, dirt or grime built up over the years, we can do it without harming the underlying material making it an ideal method for restoration.

Do you need paint stripped from your vintage '67 Chevy? Do your customers need their bicycles stripped before painting? Small automotive or industrial parts? What about a bobsled? Yes, we've done that and hundreds of other paint-stripping projects. Our media blasting technique, whether done in our facility or at your location, provides efficient yet exacting results that save you time, money and worry. We use a variety of mediums for stripping paint, depending upon the fragility of the substrate (surface underneath the paint), thickness/durability of the paint to be stripped and the environment in which we are stripping.

Graffiti removal is a common need for businesses, cities and municipalities. Brick, stone surfaces, concrete sidewalks and asphalt are the most commonly affected surfaces and a range of media blasting techniques work well on these hard surfaces. Most important is not to damage the substrate, the surface the graffiti has been painted on. The right media blasting technique can remove the graffiti without harming the surface behind it. Other factors we deal with in removing graffiti are areas where dust is a concern, areas with fragile environmental issues or areas where people or animals are present.

Has your home or business suffered fire or excess smoke damage? We offer fire damage restoration services to Connecticut, New York and southern New England. Our dry ice blasting service is a quick, efficient and thorough way to eliminate the charring, soot and odor associated with fire damage. The media we use for fire and smoke damage remediation is relatively soft, typically registering a 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Therefore, we can effectively and efficiently remove the burnt or charred surfaces while minimizing damage to underlying structures such as wood, wiring, duct work or PVC.
