Formaldehyde is present in the air that we breathe at natural background levels of about 0.03 parts per million (ppm) with recent studies showing formaldehyde concentrations often up to 0.08ppm in outdoor urban air. Formaldehyde is an important precursor to many other materials and chemical compounds and it is industrially significant with the downstream use of formaldehyde-based inputs contributing approximately 8% to US gross domestic product.

By adopting CARB II compliant plywood and Made in Germany internal glue system, our high-quality engineered ooring systems are very dimensionally stable as opposed to solid hardwood, and is thus ideal in radiant heat applications.

Solid hardwood flooring can be glued, nailed or stapled to a wood subfloor. These types of installations are best left to the pros, since they can challenge even experienced DIYers. Whoever installs your solid hardwood floors must have enough experience to leave the right amount of space for hardwoods natural expansion and contraction. This multi-ply structure gives engineered hardwood floors the flexibility to be installed in geographical areas that have excessive moisture, or in building spaces otherwise unsuited for solid hardwood.
