Our company was started by Norm Herren in 1969 and originally named for the owner. In 1998, brothers Curtis and Scott Schempp purchased the company. Wishing to keep the same business ethics and community ties, the name was only slightly revised to include the Schempp name. As co-owners of Herren-Schempp Building Supply, Curtis and Scott continually serve the Vermillion and surrounding areas with their biggest asset, service. Working for the business before they purchased has given them a great foundation for their current business ethics.
