Baton Rouge Gallery has been proud to partner with BREC (the parks and recreation commission for East Baton Rouge Parish) since first entering into a cooperative endeavor agreement in 1984. In addition to housing the Gallery inside historic City-Brooks Park, BREC has numerous programmatic offerings that complement the overall artistic mission of the gallery. BREC Art offers programs for all ages at locations across the parish. These hands-on interactive classes and workshops are grounded in true artistic principles and techniques with a dash of craftiness and a whole lot of creativity.
I love having something locally based offer so much to the art world. Bringing in big names as well as showcasing local talent make the BRG a staple for the local art community.
