Century AsphaltMaterialswas founded in 1998 by the Angel Brothers of Baytown Texas. Glenn, Greg, & Gary Angel purchased their first Astec Double Barrel HMAplant and located it in Baytown, just miles away from their construction company headquarters. The Baytown plant primarily supplied hot mix asphalt to the construction company, Angel Brothers Enterprises. In 2001, Century acquired a second asphalt plant from Cemex, Inc. located in downtown Houston, known as our Navigation Plant. The addition significantly increased Centurys customer base and production capabilities.
