Riverside Brick began in 1871 as a manufacturer of clay brick based in Richmond, Virginia. After nearly a century of making and selling its own products, the Company began representing other quality manufacturers in the 1960s. With other brickmakers building increasingly efficient facilities, the old plant faded as the service side of the business grew with the region. The Company eventually quit making its own brick, and has concentrated for the past quarter-century on delivering the best masonry products and service available in Central Virginia.

We provide a full range of sizes of concrete masonry units, or concrete block, for use in home construction or commercial use. These units, commonly called "gray block, " and sometimes "cinder block, " are primarily weight-bearing elements of the wall, and are not generally seen after construction is complete. They are typically backing for a brick wall. Riverside also provides a wide variety of architectural block, including split-face, ground-face, and other textures in several dozen colors. These masonry units are both structural and decorative, with texture and color designed for a richer look than plain or painted gray block.
