The Pennsylvania Builders Association is a statewide non-profit trade association incorporated in 1945. Affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and a network of 32 local associations across the state of Pennsylvania, PBA is the unified voice for the home building industry and the housing consumer. PBA serves members by providing proactive leadership on state regulatory and legislative issues. In addition, we proudly offer a variety of services and money-saving opportunities to our local associations and members.

Since 1945, PBA has been a widely respected voice for the residential construction industry. We are an organization run by members FOR members. Our success is not possible without the active engagement of our members. If you are involved in the home building industry, we invite you to join our dynamic group of members across the state working on behalf of the industry and the consumer. Not only does PBA fight for its members in the Legislature, but members also are eligible for a variety of benefits to aid their business and improve their profits.

Buying a brand new home is a big decision and an important investment, and there is a lot to think about. You want to buy with confidence, enjoy the experience and know that you have made the best decision for you and your family. If you are building a new home, the more you know about the process, the more enjoyable your experience is likely to be. Typically, the process of buying a brand new home takes place over time and in several stages. To start, you want to take some time determining your priorities, define what you want in a home, where you want to live, how much you want to spend, and then explore what's available.

PBA believes that strong legislative initiatives and lobbying are needed for ultimate government affairs successes on behalf of our members and the building industry in Pennsylvania. Because of this, many of our efforts are directed at advocating for builders and consumers on the Hill, promoting grassroots initiatives, fighting harmful regulations and promoting beneficial legislation. PBA represents the home building industry at the state level, and often works with individual locals at the municipal level.

Today's construction trade students are Pennsylvania's future builders, contractors and business owners. The Pennsylvania Foundation for Housing, Inc.'s primary focus is to foster the development of a strong future workforce for the home building industry in PA through the Pennsylvania Builders Association's (PBA) Endorsed Trade Program and other educational opportunities. We all know what a critical role the home building industry has on the economy. While our industry overall is showing much improvement, there is a significant lack of skilled workers.

Learning a trade is even more valuable than ever due to the lack of interest among people of my generation. The Endorsed Trade Program provides quality oversight and resources to students like myself who want to change that. I am grateful for the opportunities the program provides and recognize it as having a large positive impact on my future. The Pennsylvania Builders Association is committed to a sustainable, superior construction industry. To accomplish this, we must all work together to support workforce development.
