For 35 years, Habitat Sarasota has evolved to address the need for affordable housing in Sarasota. Through our affordable housing program, we have helped more than 300 families improve their living conditions. Habitat for Humanity Sarasota builds single family homes in Sarasota, FL. Upon completion, the homes are then sold to income-qualified families in our affordable homeownership program. Our unique mortgage terms allow the monthly payments to be affordable. Our critical home repair program is a resource for homeowners that need help with aging in place, modifications and repairs to remove health and safety barriers.
The Habitat for Humanity Sarasota ReStore depends on donated items that are sold to the public at affordable prices to support the agency's mission. Shoppers can find a variety of gently-used furniture, cabinets, building materials, flooring, lighting fixtures, appliances, patio furniture, artwork, tools, hardware, plumbing supplies, and lawn and garden items. The ReStore is the perfect place to find a replacement item that may need a vintage touch. We also carry new items donated by store overstocks, builders, and the community.
