Blue Dog Furniture is a family-run business started in 1993 by Keith & Kate Ledford. The popularity of our furniture grew word of mouth until the demand necessitated a real manufacturing facility, opened in 1995. We've historycally been a log furniture manufacturer, but have adapted to the evolving style and demand of our clientele. Our expansion into "fine" furniture and architectural styles began to develop around 2005. Blue Dog Furniture has become well-known name in and around Missoula for many projects both residential and commercial.
Welcome to Blue Dog's signature line of log beds and log bedroom furniture! Our all-wood construction method, featuring traditional mortise and tennon joinery, make for heirloom quality log beds that give you a lifetime of pleasant sleep. Our hardwood wedge system holds the entire piece together ensuring that our log beds will always be sturdy and comfortable. Assembly is easy. A hammer or mallet is the only instrument required to tighten the wedges. All of our other log bedroom furniture comes fully assembled.
We work with builders and homeowners on cabinet layout and design, as well as customized closets and shelving, both commercial and residential!
Log dining tables, bookmatched tabletops, slab or live edge tabletops are among our many creations.
Our entire line of log furniture can be finished with an outdoor sealant to resist the elements. Deck sealant or our standard water-based polyurethane is sufficient for furniture that is kept from the direct weather elements. Exposed furniture with a deck sealant will need minimal yearly maintenance, as does all outdoor furniture.
