Current owners Tim White and Kent Swinson founded Timberline in 1999. It started as a passion to provide the highest quality custom woodworking solutions to the people in the Manhattan, KS area. In 2000, Timberline expanded into commercial cabinetry and millwork. As demand has grown, highly skilled craftsmen, state of the art equipment, manufacturing processes, and internal computer software development have allowed Timberline to continually exceed customer expectations. Today Timberline employs 20 people and services four midwestern states.

While commercial business has grown, the management team wants to ensure local residents have access to superior wood products in their homes. Timberline uses a water-based stain which is environmentally friendly. It also provides a more uniform finish to the material. Solvent based wipe on has a greater chance for dark splotches in the wood and requires hazardous material handling and disposal.
