As Denver Window experts, we believe that Amerimax is the only window for Colorado.

When Centennial Home Improvements Inc. started business in 1995, we originally planned on offering homeowners services in all exterior home improvements. After two years we realized, that in order to better serve our customers, we should focus on one trade rather than diversify. We didn't change our name, but we were now a Denver window company. After doing much research, and looking at many different windows from manufacturers all over the country, we realized that regardless how good a window may be, if it's being installed a mile high, then it must be built a mile high.

We just had our windows replaced on our entire home by Jay Lillien and his team. This whole process was a perfect example of professionalism and expertise that far exceeded or expectations. Jay has an incredible wealth of knowledge, he walked our entire home and gave advice on every window. From the aesthetics, functionality and cost, it was apparent that Jay is an expert in his field. The install team was equally as talented, our windows were measured perfectly and these guys were simply awesome.

Extreme temperature changes can cause tremendous pressure on the insulating glass unit (IGU) in your window. Every one degree Fahrenheit (F) change in the temperature produces a 3.6 PSF pressure change. While this seems slight, a 20 degree F change would equal the pressure of a 175 MPH wind. When we have temperature swings of 20 degrees within a 24 hour period (which happens every day in Colorado) an insulating glass unit is in constant motion. This is why you do NOT want a metal spacer between your panes of glass.

The air space temperature that is inside the insulating glass unit of your window, is directly influenced by the solar radiation striking the glass. As the air space temperature heats up, the internal pressure increases. As the air space temperature goes down, the internal unit pressure goes down. Colorado's sun is so powerful, when the clouds cover the sun, the temperature can suddenly drop 25 degrees, and then jump back up again when the sun reappears. The resulting pressure changes can wreak havoc on your new windows.

We began our business in January 1995 and incorporated under the name Centennial Home Improvements, Inc. Our original plan was to be a full service residential home improvement company specializing in replacement windows, siding, roofing, fences, concrete work, decks and patio enclosures, entry doors, garage doors, gutters and downspouts and bathroom, kitchen and basement renovation. By June of 1997 approximately 75% of our business was replacement windows. As the demand for replacement windows in the Denver Metro area continued to grow we decided to focus all of our attention on windows, and gradually phased out all other home improvement services.

If you are planning on replacing your windows in Denver Colorado it may seem like a very confusing process. Many people are more confused after they have had several replacement window estimates then they were before they started. Most companies have exclusivity on the window they are selling, so you as a consumer cannot comparison shop. It may seem difficult to make the right decision since everybody claims they have the best window. After you read these pages it should become pretty clear why you should replace your windows with Colorado built windows.
