For this remodel our homeowner wanted to get rid of the old soffits and add more storage. They did the demo of the old cabinets and the soffit but ran into some bumps in the road. The old soffit was not finished behind it with sheet rock which we see a lot and the wires for parts of the kitchen ran through it. Several of the electrical wires were too short and they had to have an electrician do some changes. Turned out well! This project has been fun, our homeowner had water damage and many delays related to insurance processes.
We have been providing custom cabinets and counter tops in the Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington area ever since. Our focus has shifted to installing kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and laminate counter tops for our customers through the Spokane and Coeur d Alene area Lowe's stores. This has been an enjoyable addition to our shop. Its very rewarding to help a customer from the start of their remodel project to the finish of their dream kitchen. Start by looking in magazines or on the internet for ideas. Note things you love about your friends or family's kitchen or bathrooms. Once you narrow down what you might like, take some rough measurements of your area walls. Note where doors and windows are as well as any obstructions, like wall vents, or utility's that need to be worked around. Take some pictures as well.
