RAKS Building Supply, Inc. opened its first location in Los Lunas, New Mexico back in 1986. Today RAKS has 5 lumber yard and retail locations to serve New Mexico and the surrounding areas. Our stores are located in Los Lunas, Socorro, Edgewood and 2 locations in Albuquerque. We also have a Truss Plant in Albuquerque where we design and manufacture wood floor and roof trusses. RAKS Building Supply is proud to be one of the only locally owned and operated hardware stores and lumber yards in New Mexico.
Owners Richie (pictured right) and Kenny (pictured left) both worked their entire lives in the building material industry. RAKS was established in January 1986, and both Richie and Kenny are still active in the day to day operations at RAKS. Seeing home owners build their dream home inspires them to be the best building supplier that RAKS can be. Richie I enjoy every aspect of the lumber & hardware business doing everything from start to finish. Meeting every person that I work with or customers that I cross paths with.
