Our story started well over 41 years ago, with two brothers, working out of their garage and putting their life savings on the line. Fast forward to today, we have become one of the most trusted names in the industry, and 100% employee owned. Control Air focuses on custom design, engineering, in-house fabrication, installation, building controls, maintenance, and ongoing service of commercial HVAC and Plumbing mechanical systems.
Working under the General Contractor, Architect and Engineer, we lend our extensive experience to the design, equipment selection, and alternative options for the proposed HVAC and Plumbing systems. Having executed projects within multiple vertical markets, in a variety of different formats, we will help deliver the maximum impact value as a design-assist subcontractor. The past five years has seen a major shift in the mechanical industry, moving away from simple subcontracting to co-created value partnerships.
Our Engineering Division specializes in the co-created, cost-effective, sustainable design, and innovation of all commercial type facilities throughout California. Supporting clients from design to construction, and the ongoing operation, we provide effective and efficient engineering services. Control Air demonstrates value, regardless of the three core design approaches used in the industry today - Design Build, Design Assist, and Plan & Spec. HVAC and Plumbing systems should never impact the overall design and inspiration of building.
With a 287,000 square foot facility and state-of-the-art fabrication shop in Anaheim, CA, and another 55,000+ square foot facility in San Francisco, CA, we are able to produce all of our piping, duct, controls and insulation needs. The ability to produce all of our components in-house reduces our need for outsourcing and middlemen, eliminating the potential long wait for materials and products, and enabling us to meet timelines no matter the size of the project.
With facilities in Northern and Southern California, Control Air teams are able to work together throughout each step of the mechanical systems that we design and construct. There is constant communication between coordination teams, project managers, and our fabrication shops, to ensure everything is running efficiently and effectively. Given our self-performing lean construction model, extensive portfolio, and passionate team, we have become one of the largest full mechanical firms in California, and have earned the trust and respect of hundreds of industry-leading clients.
