We use schedule 40 pvc pipe to plumb our pools and spas. Pipe sizing is determined so that a sufficent amount of water flow is being met. Pools and spas are plumbed to meet all building codes and safety regulations. Once the pool has been plumbed we leave pressure gauges at the end of the lines to assure the plumbing is holding pressure. This also will tell us if any of the lines may have been broken during any of the construction phases.
Our masons start by installing bats and leveling the pool beam. Once the beam has been leveled and prepared they will begin by installing coping to the pool beam. Once the coping is completed, the waterline tile will be installed. In some case coverplates may need to be installed for an automatic pool cover. If your pool requires coverplates, the mason will level the pool beam then return once the coverplates have been installed. Tile and coping must be installed before a any new decking is installed to your project.
Steel is used to form and strengthen the pool structure, we use steel in floors, walls, beams, benches, seat, etc. The steel is installed per an engineered steel plan. Steel is also used in swimming pool remodels, in many case we drill and dowl to tie steel into an existing structure. We use steel to form and strenghten raised bond beams, spa additions, benches, love seats, shamu shelves, beach entrys, size conversions, depth reductions and conversions. We also use steel in piers, footings, retaining walls, new decking, ponds and river beds.
Once the pool beam has been leveled and coping has been installed your project will be ready for decking. It is very important that an expansion joint be installed either behind the pool coping or between waterline tile and cantilever deck. Please Note; if you have hired your own decking contractor do not allow any nails to be attached to your pool shell and be sure your project is getting expansion joint installed. This will help prevent furture problems such as cracking of your new coping loose stones, waterline tile and or pool surface cracks.
Plaster is what makes your swimming pool water tight. All Pool finsihes are mixed into a hopper on the back of the truck then shoot into the pool by the use of long hoses and a gun. There is be a team of men in the pool trowling and leveling the pool surface as the nozelman applies the pool plaster/pebble to the pool. Once they are done we will start the water and begin the filling of the pool. This is be done by carefully placing a hose in the floor of the pool in a way which it does not mark the plaster.
