Tradespeople employed in the HVAC industry install maintain and repair systems that control the temperature, humidity, and total air quality in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program provides the required related instruction for apprentices registered in Connecticut as an S2 or D2. HVAC technicians, also known as a D2 license holder in the state of CT, are required to complete 432 related instruction (RI) hours and journeymen, S2 license holders, are required to complete 720 RI hours.

Attendees must wear a protective face covering while in the building. We will be doing temperature checks with contactless infrared thermometers as you enter the building. If your temperature is over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, you won't be able to attend class and will be rescheduled. Six feet distance must be maintained from all other people in the building. The Construction Education Center is an official provider (#1275) of Continuing Education classes for unlimited license electricians in the state of Connecticut for the 2021 requirement.

Sheet Metal workers make, install, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning duct systems. The Sheet Metal program provides the required related instruction for apprentices registered in the State of Connecticut as a sheet metal (SM2). Each year 144 hours of related instruction are covered, meeting the minimum sate requirement. Over four years an apprentice will complete 576 hours.

Plumbers install and repair water, waste disposal, drainage and gas systems in homes and commercial industrial buildings as well as installing plumbing fixtures and appliances. The Plumbing program provides the required related instruction for new apprentices registered in the State of Connecticut as a P2 apprentice and P6 apprentice to begin their training with the Construction Education Center. Each year 180 Hours of related instruction is covered.

Carpenters are involved in many different kinds of construction activity, from the building of highways and bridges, to the installation of kitchen cabinets. Our curriculum focuses on teaching the skills for commercial construction. Carpenters construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Large construction contractors or specialty contractors, may require their carpenters to perform tasks such as framing walls, constructing wooden forms for pouring concrete, or erecting scaffolding.
