Our skilled site teams keep the job on top of project goals. CPM scheduling tools such as Phoenix PM and Primavera P6 give our managers tight control over work, resources, and delivery dates. Our cloud-based Procore system promotes a consistent process across projects, and clients and design teams have ready access to project information.

Harkins likes to get involved in projects early, so the design-build method is a natural extension of the service we provide on our negotiated projects. We have used this method of delivery on a wide range of projects for more than 30 years. Design-build gives our client one point of contact for design and construction. We hire experienced architects and engineers with project-specific expertise. This results in a highly coordinated effort with exceptional schedule, cost, and risk control.

Harkins' hallmark for more than 50 years has been the negotiated contract, where we get involved at the initial design stage. Using an open-book approach, our highly developed preconstruction services offer several advantages over other methods. Our dedicated estimating team allows us to put the necessary resources up front where the solutions have the greatest value. Every project is assigned a preconstruction manager and an estimator to address the needs of the project in the early phases. Our director of preconstruction oversees the entire process and monitors the work for continuity and consistency.
