JCAHBA represents the best of the home building, development and remodeling industry in Carter, Johnson, Unicoi, and Washington counties and it promotes responsible development of quality neighborhoods which encourages the American Dream of Home Ownership. Over the last few years, Johnson City Area HBA and its members have undergone tremendous changes. Members of JCAHBA are ready to provide new homes to meet the changing needs and growing population of our area or remodel existing homes for upgrade and expansion of families.
We want to welcome you to our website and thank you for thinking HBA first. JCAHBA is a non-profit trade association that represents and promotes responsible development of quality neighborhoods which encourages the American Dream of Home Ownership. Our members are in the home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, design, housing, finance, building products and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction. As an association, our goal is to be a trusted resource for the community and an advocate for the building industry.
The Home Builders Association of Tennessee (HBAT) represents over 3,000 member firms as "The Voice of the Housing Industry". The laws and regulations that impact our industry are changing every day. The Annual HBAT Spring Legislative Conference is the association's largest meeting focusing on state and federal legislative, regulatory, and political issues impacting the Home Building Industry. The purpose of the conference is to prepare members to engage effectively in the legislative, regulatory, and political processes on behalf of the state and local associations.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) fights for our members on Capitol Hill, in the state, and in the communities where you do business. They work hard to defeat excessive regulations and to protect your business. NAHB's advocacy efforts include educating policymakers and the Administration, building successful coalitions, and mobilizing grassroots on a range of issues. During the 115th Congress, NAHB is asking federal policymakers to move forward on a number of important issues. Read below for an overview of select issues, their importance to the housing industry, and the action they are asking federal legislators to take on each one.
An NAHB Designation says a lot about you. Professional designations offer excellent opportunities to improve your skills, advance your career, and be recognized for your commitment to professional growth. Whether you're looking to advance in your career or gain additional knowledge about a particular topic, NAHB Education offers a wide-range of learning options. NAHB is committed to providing the best residential home building knowledge to foster success in the industry.

Facebook memories have continued showing me glimpses of our Home Show from the past 10 years. It seems so strange to not be having one this spring. The good news is that our annual Battle of the Build is still moving forward for April 22-23 and we are excited to see what the schools come up with.
The JCAHBA office is working remotely from Carter County today. If you need anything, please call and leave a voice mail, call my cell phone (since most of you have that number), or email and I will respond as quick as possible.
