Donald W. Ward founded D.W. Ward Construction Company in Durham in 1970 following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Colon Edgar Williams, a homebuilder in Eastern North Carolina. With talents both learned and inherited, his company built many attractive and quality projects for his clients over his 38 years in business. While Don was President of D. W. Ward, Inc., his son Andy served as Vice President. Andy grew up working with his dad after school, on weekends and in the summer learning the construction business.
