D. W. Taylor Construction added a new garage to our existing house, which was originally constructed in the late 60’s. One of our chief concerns was that the new addition not look like a mismatched add on. Donnie, the company owner, took great pains to match the old brick, siding, and roof materials. The outcome was phenomenal. Countless friends and neighbors have remarked that the garage “looks like it has always been there.”
My husband worked with skilled tradesmen for well over 35 years and is very persnickety regarding construction methods and material quality. It is an understatement to say he was very pleased with the outstanding workmanship and materials.
Working with the owner and employees of D. W. Taylor Construction was a delight. Without exception, Donnie answered our calls or returned our messages within a matter of minutes. He was unfailingly responsive to any concerns or questions. Our daily point of contact was a gentleman named Bob, who supervised the subcontractors. (The worst part of the experience was when the job was finished and Bob left.) Bob was great to work with and did a wonderful job. All subcontractors who worked on our project were skilled, neat, and polite.

Donnie and his team were amazing! Construction quality was top notch. He was very clear in his communication on what was happening each day at our house and sent us pictures of the work if we were away. Anybody that was at the house was professional and they cleaned up every day. Project was finished 2 weeks earlier that estimated. It was a great process throughout the renovations. I had heard horror stories from others on home renovations but had nothing but an excellent experience with DW Taylor Construction.

Donnie and his team did a build out and finish for a gas fireplace we had installed. This was a new install and not replacement of a previous unit. I can not say enough wonderful things about the experience we had with Donnie and every member of his team that worked on our job. The communication by Donnie was spectacular which made expectations clear and time management easy for our family. The contactors that came to work on the job were pleasant, clean and obvious experts in their given area/ skill. Every step of the work was done to the highest standard and quality. We were just so impressed. The finished product was everything we had imagined, really top level custom work and experience. We would recommend DW Taylor Construction to family and friends- that is how good they are.

D.W. Taylor Construction gutted and renovated our downstairs guest barroom and laundry room and helped with some additional upgrades (new carpet, closed a pocket door, painting etc). Donnie and his crew did an awesome job. The design/budget phase went smoothly and the work itself, which did go over time, was not too intrusive. The crew kept the place clean, neat and safe when they were not here which was a helpful given our small kids and dog. Given that we were on a generous but strict budget I believe that Donnie was able to stretch our dollar very far. He also offered great design ideas to keep the reno work consistent with the rest of the house. I would definitely hire Donnie again and would highly recommend him to others.
