went above and beyond. The workers were fantastic, courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.
We were having an issue with our furnace during the coldest week of the year. I called Kern Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, and they came out the same day. The technician discovered that our old furnace was emitting more than the tolerated amount of carbon monoxide due to a bad heat exchanger. The technician and I weighed the cost of a new exchanger with a new furnace, and I decided to replace the furnace. We were lent space heaters for the night and the guys at Kern were out the next day installing my new furnace. There were no issues at all and the installers were excellent. At every step the technician and installers put my family first and went out of their way to ensure we were warm in the sub zero temperatures.
Thanks, Bob and Adam, for coming out for my emergency fix.
In 1902, Willis Haviland Carrier accidentally developed the first air conditioning system by creating a network of chilled pipes to reduce indoor humidity. By the 1920s, air conditioners were big draws in department stores and theaters.
There are several efficiency measures that are traditionally used for HVAC system components. These are AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency), COP (coefficient of performance), E (thermal efficiency), EER (energy efficiency ratio), and HSPF (heating seasonal performance factor).
There are steps you can take to ease energy costs for commercial HVAC systems. Adjust your systems to match your business and/or working hours. Reduce your heating temperatures by 10 to 15 degrees in buildings that are unoccupied overnight.
Did you know that the most common reason for an HVAC system to break has to do with clogged air filters? Filters should be changed based on manufacturer's specifications. If not, your system will have to work harder to circulate air, leading to higher monthly utility bills.
Besides saving energy, advanced gas heating and cooling systems substantially reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides, which are all emissions resulting from the burning of fossil fuels used to generate electricity.
