J. Burns Construction, LLC is a design-build general contracting firm that has been serving the South Georgia and North Florida area since 2001. We offer in-house design services or we can work from your existing plan as we develop a final scope of work and prepare for construction. We make a commitment to each client to provide outstanding service and develop a lasting relationship as we navigate through the challenging but exciting task of building a new home or renovating an existing building.

J. Burns Construction, LLC was founded by Jonathan H. Burns in Valdosta in 2001. Since this time we have grown into a medium size firm that completes a wide array of projects with a variety of delivery systems. Custom homes and renovations remain the focus of our business as we adapt to the challenging economy. Bathroom and Kitchen renovations have always been a large part of our business and we have recently completed several pool and pool house additions. With the improvements in siding and window materials in the last several years, exterior renovations including siding and window replacements have become a larger part of our business.

Having worked for this family since 2004, our latest project was adding a pool and pool house in the rear of the house. The challenging site conditions were overcome with a thoughtful design that allowed the new space to blend with the existing landscaping and hardscapes. The charming pool house contains several bedrooms, kitchen and sitting area. Brick paver and wrought iron fencing surround the new area and seamlessly blend into the surrounding landscape. Past projects for these clients include a media room addition, kitchen renovation, and master bath renovation.

Built as the personal home of local architect in the early 1900's, we were tasked with redesigning the kitchen, laundry and sitting area. Working with a local interior designer, this kitchen was beautifully renovated by combining the old character with new convenience and style. Some of the many features include antique doors, stainless steel mosaic backsplash, farmhouse sink, marble countertops and commercial appliances. Bricks used from a demolished furnace stack were used to build a new outdoor sitting area.
