Edens called upon Young Contracting for the redevelopment of the old K-mart anchored shopping center directly across from the Mall of Asheville. Our team renovated the existing structures and built new buildings to create a Whole Foods anchored center close to downtown Asheville. The project features heavy timber canopy members intermeshed with structural steel to form an outdoor eating experience with views of the North Carolina Mountains.
