We bid and perform work within a multi-state region with the state Departments of Transportation, Corp of Engineers, Federal Highway Administration, and City and County governmental agencies. In addition to government contracting, Ford Construction Company has the capacity to perform site construction work ranging in scope from commercial and industrial site development to private driveways and parking lots.
We have been mining red gravel in the west Tennessee area since 1955. Because our materials are surface-mined, our gravel products are free from any harmful materials and organic matter. Our gravel is used as base material for highways, driveways, and parking lots and for water, sewer, and storm sewer construction. Our gravel has been used as a raw material in the production of asphalt, concrete and masonry products including ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, and brick pavers. Our products can also be used for landscaping and other general purposes.
Ford Construction Company's Asphalt Division is experienced in turnkey paving projects of all sizes. Using the latest technology in paving and compacting equipment, we are able to meet the toughest specifications. Combined with our asphalt plant production capabilities and large truck fleet, our paving crews can quickly complete any size paving job, from driveways to interstates.

While Ford Construction Company's six (6) asphalt plants supply quality asphalt mix for all of the company's major highway, roadway, and commercial projects, we also provide freight on board (FOB) sales to local paving companies and other private entities. Our FOB customers arrive at our plants daily to supply mix to their jobs. Ford Construction Company's experienced technical staff and state-of-the-art production facilities are capable of designing and producing asphalt mixes to meet the toughest specifications.
