Established in 1964, Paul R. Lipp & Son, Inc. is a privately owned corporation engaged in ready mix concrete sales and delivery; excavating services; and construction laser and survey instrument sales. Serving clients in the Tri-State area of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and including cities of Boardman, Canfield, Canton, Columbiana, East Liverpool, Pittsburgh (PA), Salem, Steubenville, Youngstown, Wheeling (WV) and beyond, we support concrete installation with concrete curing and sealing compounds, manual and gas powered concrete placing and settling tools.
We began operations in 1964 as an excavation company with the purchase of a small bulldozer and a backhoe. The business establishes a reputation for integrity and continued to grow with steady acquisitions of equipment. In 1973 Paul's son, Greg, graduated from Youngstown State University with a Degree in Civil Engineering, and began working for the company. Using his education to provide value-added services, and by demonstrating customer consciousness and team leadership, Greg was welcomed into full partner in the enterprise in 1975.
We offer a full-line of excavating services for contractors and private individuals, including home sites, land clearing, excavation of subdivision streets, drainage, storm sewers, retention and detention basins, utility lines, water lines, sanitary sewer lines, and more. Paul R. Lipp & Son, Inc. began operations in 1964 as an excavation company with the purchase of a small bull dozer and a backhoe. Initially, the primary customers were residential building contractors. The first projects were single lot residential excavations for driveways, basements and footers, and septic systems.

Lipp & Son, Inc. batch plant ships ready mixed concrete to contractors for a variety of construction applications, including roads, driveways and parking lots; irrigation and storm water channels; building basements and foundations; as well as water reservoirs, heavy industrial machine bases, and concrete pre-casters of: manholes, catch basins and septic tanks. Our plant and trucks are O.D.O.T. approved and our fleet of radio dispatched ready mixed concrete mixers give us a good measure of responsiveness to customer needs and often an ability to re-schedule when weather conditions demand.
