Our experienced staff of industry experts and professional engineering partners are able to provide a broad range of project development and pre-construction services including consultation, engineered solutions, project budgeting and value engineering. Consistent with our industry affiliations in ASCC, ACI, AGC, NRMCA and the MN Concrete Council (among others), we are committed to understanding client needs and expectations, and believe our clients deserve a responsible partner with integrity and high standards.
K & M Concrete Construction is grounded in Andy, Melissa and Greg Kooiker's hard work and commitment to exceeding customer expectations. The Kooiker's passion for concrete construction began in the fall of 1999 while they were still in high school. That first project was pouring a concrete storage structure for an uncle. Working after school and football practice with the help of friends from the team, they worked late into the night by the lights of a skid loader. From their headquarters in Edgerton, Minnesota, K & M Concrete maintains many of their early relationships and has grown to become a preferred partner in the concrete construction industry, offering clients high performance slab-on-grade construction, structural concrete, parking lot and urban paving.
K & M Concrete Construction provides structural concrete services for a variety of agricultural, industrial, commercial and municipal building projects. We maintain highly trained experts in structural concrete processes - and employ the use of total station robotics for site and building layout, and modular forming systems for hand set or gang forms. Our combination of expertise and proper equipment ensures you get consistent, high-quality results on all of your structural concrete projects.
Portland cement concrete (PCC) is the most cost-effective, sustainable pavement material available. A typical 20-year asphalt design life requires crack fill maintenance every 2 to 4 years and resurfacing every 8 to 12 years. By comparison, a typical 20-year concrete design-life pavement requires minimal maintenance and depending on use, will provide 30 - 40 years or more of reliable service. Based on initial cost, routine maintenance and resurfacing, total cost of ownership for asphalt can be 300% over that of a similar concrete pavement.
