Your own backyard has the potential to be an energy source for heating and cooling comfort. Outdoor air temperatures fluctuate throughout the year with the changing seasons. In contrast, ground temperatures about four to six feet below the Earth's surface remain relatively moderate and constant all year. That's because the Earth absorbs 47% of all the heat energy that reaches its surface from the sun. The K2 Geothermal drilling crew has mobilized and started work on a new project in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The guys are working on the Oskaloosa Early Childhood Development and Recreational Center and are drilling 247 wells, 300' deep. They will be installing a subgrade vault and then trenching in 8"...

K2 Geo working on another project for Lincoln Public Schools at Park Middle School. Work on Phase 1 consisting of 77 wells on the south side of the school. The remainder of the wells will be placed in the lower playground in the fall. Each well is being drilled to a depth of 400'.
