Temperatures are cooling, and if you haven’t started preparing for winter around your home, now is the time! Some items that need to be considered as the seasons change are removing your garden hoses from hose bibs, closing crawl space vents, cleaning out your gutters, and scheduling your irrigation system to be winterized.
Don’t neglect interior home maintenance this spring. If you haven’t already, make sure you open up your crawl space vents. In addition, now is a great time to change filters in your furnace and to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. If you haven’t replaced the batteries in a while, now is a great time to do that.
Happy Easter to you all! He is risen!
Another home maintenance item that you will want to make sure to do outside is checking your sprinkler system for leaky valves, exposed lines, and improperly working sprinkler heads. It is a good idea to check your outdoor faucets as well, especially if they were left on through the winter.
