The purpose of Construction Education Foundation, Inc. is to provide the construction industry the most qualified, technically trained people at all levels. Our target is construction excellence. The Construction Education Foundation is a self-supporting foundation with widespread participation, providing the finest in construction industry training. CEF was created through an alliance of the members of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), North Texas Chapter, and Associated General Contractors (AGC), Dallas Chapter.
The Plumbing levels one through three are all started in the Fall semester. NOTE: Semester "A" is the first semester of each level. Semester "B" is the second semester of each level. Plumbing Journeyman Prep that will provide a review of subjects that are needed to pass the written exam for the plumber's journeyman license exam. For the practical portion of the exam the class will also include practice on our custom designed house, this house is comparable to the 2-story house used in the State of Texas Plumbing Exam in Austin.
This course will consist of all types of welding from basic cutting to advanced welding. The student is allowed to choose what type of welding process he or she wants to learn. The course is designed to be 99% hands on for the beginning hobbyist to the advanced welder. NOTE: Students will be required to wear leather shoes or boots, long pants and a cotton shirt with long sleeves. Students will be required to provide welding gloves and welding hood. Pre-Requisite: English or Spanish TABE Math Test or Applied Construction math Class and English or Spanish TABE Reading Test and ESL Placement Test.
