Since AMS Inc., was founded in 1942, our products have been used by individuals, businesses, non-profits, governments and universities throughout the world for a wide variety of sampling purposes. AMS equipment is primarily used for environmental and geotechnical sampling and monitoring, as well as for remediation activities. They also provide simple solutions for a variety of other fields, including: agriculture, construction, golf & turf, mining, pest control, etc. AMS, Inc., manufactures hand augers, soil probes, core samplers, sludge and sediment samplers, gas vapor probes, and since 1994, AMS PowerProbes direct-push drill rigs.

Because of the high quality of AMS equipment, many of our sampling products are commonly used in other industries for a wide variety of purposes and AMS often designs products for specific markets. The AMS line of Nematode Samplers, for example, was designed last year for the agricultural industry. Before that the AMS PowerCore Concrete and Asphalt drill machines were designed for use in construction markets. AMS also works with customers in all industries to design custom products to fit their specific needs.

Manual augers are connected to an extension and cross handle and are turned into the ground by hand. A One-Piece Open-Face Auger is also available for installing 3 bait stations. Powered augers (also known as Flighted Augers) are connected to a gas drill and are great for drilling holes quickly and with little effort.
