We added volume and views to this living room by increasing the ceiling height, adding faux reclaimed wood trusses for weight and affect. The original gas fireplace was replaced with a wood burning fireplace with a natural stone fireplace, capped with a hand hewn timber mantle and lightened with barn wood paneling as the chase. While there is a variety of wood species in this unique piece, our favorite is the "Blue Gum Eucalyptus", which is the wavy piece in the middle. This piece was inspired by an image our client provided us.
