J.E. McAmis (JEM) a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, was founded in 1973 by John McAmis Sr. and his wife Renee McAmis shortly after John's return from two tours in Vietnam where John served in both the Army and as a Seabee in the Navy. Since its founding, JEM has continually provided solutions in completing a wide variety of projects in challenging conditions and harsh environments for some of the most respected clients in the United States. J.E. McAmis project experience includes a variety of both large and small contracts covering work scopes such as: pile driving, dock construction, dredging, marine concrete works, drilling and blasting, jetty and breakwater construction, dam and spillway maintenance and construction, excavation, levee stabilization and construction, shoreline stabilization, environmental restoration, cofferdam installation, dewatering, slurry wall and relief trench construction, slope protection, ordnance screening and disposal, sand capping, Superfund clean-up, and oil and gas industry support.
