As a mid-sized, full-service commercial construction company, we manage projects in the private and public sectors that range from $100 thousand to $40 million and more. Our work supports everything from helping businesses grow, to bettering schools, expanding medical services, renovating historic structures, and improving communities. Our process is built around proactive thought and preparation, project orchestration, and expert construction and management teams. From senior leadership, management, site superintendents, office staff and trusted subcontractors, our coordinated philosophy helps maximize our strengths, know-how and expertise.

Steve first become interested in construction management while completing his architecture studies at the University of Idaho. From there, he went on to earn a degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon state University in 1990, and soon joined P&C construction. He was quickly impressed with just how accessible members of the previous ownership group were, along with the firm's overall team approach.

Worker and project safety are P&C's true core values, which is why our program exceeds Oregon-OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. P&C has earned the prestigious AGC PRIDE Award for safety excellence on more than one occasion, an award received by only six (6) General Contractors each year. For the past four years P&C has received the Rose Award, which represents AGC's "Best of the Best" in safety. We have also taken first place at the AGC National Construction Safety Excellence Awards back-to-back in 2019 and again 2020 as one of the United States' top safety programs in construction.

Now in our sixth decade, P&C Construction continues to focus on building relationships, adapting to industry changes and market demands, and fostering a philosophy among employees that encourages collaboration, agile thinking, and strategic problem solving. P&C Construction started in 1961, when Raymond Pettyjohn, an experienced carpentry foreman, and Don Campbell, a civil engineer with Timber Structures Inc., came together with a shared vision: to bring the finest work, collaboration and oversight to every job.
