James Rixner's work always combines cues from the home's architecture with his own innate flair. He uses chic Mid-Century furniture and carefully selected antiques along with up-to-the-minute contemporary pieces to create his unmistakable style. His rooms display a Zen-like serenity with a welcoming mood and just the right amount of drama. He never employs a rubber stamp approach and instead strives to reflect both the client's needs and his own good taste. In the end, he created casually elegant rooms that are timeless, comfortable and highly livable.
We went to the Four Seasons for a final outing on the next to last night before the closing of this iconic mid-century restaurant designed by Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson. Over the years I have celebrated countless events there. It was a pleasure to host Victoria and David and enjoy the space one last time.
