Design Specialists

Design Specialists, Inc. is an independent design firm that has been in business since 1988. We are a NYS certified WBE minority business with our headquarters in Syracuse, New York. We are unique in that we can work on a fee base for design services in addition to offering procurement services such as window treatments, furniture, artwork, accessories, interior signage and more. The ability to order and install product makes us more valuable to our clients and allows them to take advantage of "one-stop" design with the largest design interiors library in CNY.

Krista is the proud owner and president of Design Specialists, Inc. She is a professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and has been involved with the industry for many years. She oversees all projects and prides herself on forming lasting relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Her pragmatic approach, listening to her clients needs and understanding their budget allows her to present solutions relative to the project. While being actively involved with all aspects of Design Specialists', she also enjoys marketing the company and meeting new people.

Sarah joined the Design Specialists team in June 2019 and graduated from Cazenovia College with a BFA in Interior Design. She is passionate about collaborative design and creating updated solutions to meet the client's needs. She assists with CAD drawings, space planning, finish selections, as well as estimates and project management. In her spare time she loves traveling, being outdoors, and attending local sporting events.

When it comes to specifying commercial interiors, product durability, maintenance and cost are only one portion of the decision making process. Our clients include healthcare, corporate, education, hospitality, and residential markets.
