Although my original training was in counseling, it soon became apparent to me that I had a strong pull to rearrange furniture and experiment with color! In fact, that's all I really wanted to do. And so, for more than 20 years, I have been designing, decorating and creating beautiful spaces. I opened Rugs to Riches in 1992, a unique home furnishings and design boutique in Ellicott City Maryland. After closing the store in 2005, I continued offering private design services for my clients. Post Rugs to Riches, I also designed and opened The Well, a community space for yoga and the healing arts in Ellicott City, Md.
Primarily, I would be working with what you have. Perhaps, rearranging your furniture or simply moving your accessories in to new places. Through the simple shifting of objects from room to room, I am able to give your spaces a new energy that can be revitalizing and up lifting. Being able to create the new with a minimum of money gives me great pleasure. Creating a room starting with a blank canvas. This includes space planning, purchase of furniture, color consultation, window treatments and accessorizing.
