The Second Yard

The Second Yard has been serving Virginia communities since 1977, offering an unparalleled selection of decorator fabrics and premium home furnishings. Our business was founded on the principle of providing exceptional value through bulk purchasing, allowing us to pass significant discounts to customers while maintaining first-quality materials. We specialize in custom solutions for draperies, upholstery, and bespoke furniture crafted from any fabric of choice. Our comprehensive offerings include handpicked accessories, designer lamps, and statement furniture pieces that cater to both residential and commercial projects. With three strategically located stores in Charlottesville, Roanoke, and Virginia Beach, we combine decades of industry expertise with professional installation services and in-home design consultations. Our team of experienced decorators and craftsmen ensures every client receives personalized attention and tailored solutions that elevate their living spaces.

We maintain strict quality control across our inventory, offering first-quality, second-quality, and close-out options to accommodate diverse budgets without compromising on style or durability. The business has built its reputation through consistent product availability, competitive pricing, and a commitment to customer satisfaction that has made us the preferred choice for professional decorators statewide. Our physical stores operate with structured hours while maintaining flexibility to accommodate client needs through special appointments when necessary. This combination of product breadth, expert service, and community-focused operations has solidified our position as Virginia's premier destination for home decor solutions.
