On August 4th, 1978 was the grand opening of Bass's Tradition House. It was an era to a new being of a furniture store for Moultrie, Georgia. Rooms were vignetted and decorated; giving the customer more of an idea of how the furniture would look in there own home. Mrs. Bernice Bass owner and entrepreneur of the store had retired from teaching after 40+ years with her masters degree. She had taught in Thomas and Colquitt County schools. She always had a desire for interior design, and quality furniture for homes and offices.
