I surrendered this extra bedroom upstairs to the boys long ago. We needed a place for all the video games to be connected and played - that also wasn't in our main living room. This was an extra bedroom upstairs that happens to be void of a closet (SMH - old house problem). So, it makes more sense as a space for a family room instead. After turning it over to the boys, I basically neglected this space until a few summers ago when my husband offered to repaint it. Since then, I've been itching to reclaim it.

A few years ago I shared some vintage styling ideas in this small bathroom. And today, I'm sharing a mini bathroom refresh with new vintage-inspired wall sconces and ceiling light. If you asked my husband, he might tell you that I am always changing my mind and constantly redecorating my spaces. But that's not quite true. Sometimes, I am just updating one teeny-tiny detail and then I like to style around that little detail. And for this project, we needed new bathroom lighting. However, sometimes you want the look of vintage lighting without all the hassles of rewiring.

I snagged this old rusty stool at a flea market a while back and it's just been waiting in my garage for a fun transformation. I love thrifted stools because they are easy projects to makeover. You can always use extra seating or repurpose it as an end table for small spaces. This particular metal stool had seen better days. It had also clearly spent the latter part of its life outdoors building up a little chippy rust.
