MM Comfort Systems got its start back in 1977 as B&B Heating. Within just a few years, their exceptional reputation led them to be recognized as the National Residential HVAC Contractor of the Year. In 1993 they joined with a leading Seattle mechanical contractor, also nationally honored for their history of quality dating back to 1965. The name MM Comfort Systems was established when key employees purchased the residential portion of the company in 2001. A few years later, building on 51 years of expertise in serving residents of Tacoma and Pierce county, Heritage Heating and Rite Way Gas became part of MM Comfort Systems and a second location was opened in Sumner.

A gas or electric furnace is the main component of a traditional heating system and may be combined with an air conditioner for a complete heating and cooling system. This combination is referred to as a split system. A hybrid heating and cooling system is a variation to the traditional split system. It includes an outdoor heat pump that allows the option of electricity-fueled heating and cooling in addition to a gas furnace. It's an energy-efficient and cost-effective way to heat and cool your home.

To ensure new systems are performing to their highest capabilities, we schedule and include the first year of maintenance free on all heating and cooling systems installed by us, providing extra peace of mind for both builders and homeowners.

Simple filtration through a 1 or 2-inch filter used with your furnace or air conditioner is a low-cost, entry-level solution for protecting your equipment. Enhanced filters that are 4-6 inches can provide a higher Merv rating to allow for cleaner air. Enhanced filtration can be achieved thru the use of an electronic air cleaner or air purifier(sometimes known as an air scrubber). These use electricity to capture and disinfect pollutants in the air. It attaches to your HVAC system reducing odors, dust, and eliminating harmful contaminants both in the air and on the surfaces of your home.

The most common sign that there's a problem in your hot water heater is if you notice your hot water supply dropping sharply or if it doesn't last nearly as long as it once did. The easiest way to keep your water heater running to its maximum performance is with regular maintenance and sediment removal. Over time, sediment that builds up in your tank can include debris from your pipes or hard metals like iron and lead. It's not unsafe, but it can reduce the efficiency of your system substantially.
