With over 40 years of being in business, we have not lost our focus as a family owned and operated company. Bryan L. Bailey started the family business (Bryan L. Bailey, Associates) back in 1978, becoming a recognized Corporation in 1984, and added "doing business as" (d.b.a.) Turning Point Land Surveyors & Land Planners" in 1991, when (son) Craig & (daughter) Jessica, would work along side their father (Bryan) as part of the survey crew, even before they finished high school. Now, following right along, Craig T. Bailey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, a Masters Degree from the University of Maine, is a Professional Engineer (PE), a Licensed Land Surveyor (LLS) and a Septic Designer.
Survey maps are filed with the local government, usually the county clerk's or registrar's office where the property's located. Future copies of the map can be requested for a fee, just as other legal documents.
Once the physical and legal aspects of the property are determined and documented, and the property surveyed the Highest and Best use of the property can be identified by the appraiser.
As surveyors, understanding local design restrictions according to zoning and building codes is our purview. Zoning and building code analysis by architects allow us to work within these restrictions during the Pre-Design phase.

The recent 40th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House made history when surveyors used 3D digital surveying technology to reveal, in exquisite detail, its interior and exterior. In fact, this is one of the few famous buildings to be showcased as a 3D model.
