Our Concrete and Grout testing services are ACI Certified. CME can mobilize a field lab and the experienced personnel needed to provide on-site field testing, curing, and compression testing. At CME, our Operations division provides construction services, testing, and inspection, with a focus on Water and Wastewater Systems Management. We also assist with DEP (RTCR) Level 2 Assessments. CME Engineering typically serves Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia, and Northern Maryland.

It didn't take long for this dream to become a reality. Following client focused discussions and the dedication and commitment from Isgan and Walker, the two purchased the first CME office in Somerset, PA, in 2000. With hard work and perseverance, the firm grew from its humble beginnings to more than 60 employees in 2 offices. CME also expanded to offer a variety of services and clients in that time, establishing additional departments beyond the Mining group with departments focused on Civil Engineering (Land Development & Municipal), Surface Surveying, Power & Construction, Water/Wastewater Operations, CADD, and administrative functions in the form of an Accounting department, HR/Marketing, and IT.

From feasibility and environmental alternatives analysis through permitting and construction administration and quality assurance, to remediation solutions and landfill closure, we handle it all. This includes operations and environmental monitoring, sampling, and reporting. CME brings expert knowledge and cost-effective methods to the table, enabling our residual and municipal waste management clients to transport, dispose, and/or beneficially use waste material (by-products) in accordance with strict regulatory standards.

CME Operations currently operates several Sanitary Sewage Treatment Plants and provides general operations to these facilities. CME Operations also offers piping and electrical upgrades to these plants as needed. Our staffed, licensed operators retain certification from the department of Environmental Protection for Class A or lower with sub-classes 1 thru 4. We can provide on-site assistance in construction, startup, operation, and maintenance of treatment plants and collection systems.

At CME Engineering, our geotechnical services are used in support of civil engineering, waste management and mining operations, as well as construction projects that require specific foundation design, evaluation, or excavation. Slope stability and foundation engineering are critical to a successful construction project. Shifting soil and cracked foundations represent an unacceptable risk. A thorough site investigation by experienced geotechnical engineers protects the value of your investment and allows you to proceed with confidence.

In the absence of accurate land and title surveys, your development project can easily be derailed. During the construction phase is no time to find out that boundary lines have been improperly plotted, or that easements and rights-of-way have not been accounted for correctly. At CME Engineering, we provide land surveys for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Our expertise ranges from cutting-edge UAV (drone) surveying and 3D Modeling to traditional property boundary, construction stake-out and general location surveys.

What's new?

The CME team is committed to helping our local communities. This year's "CME Cares!" program raised over $5,000 to #donate to local non-profits. We can't thank The Salvation Army of Greensburg, PA and The Salvation Army Somerset Service Center enough for their tireless efforts. Thank you for...
