Benchmark Civil Engineering Services, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Peter Terry to provide personal, professional engineering and survey services to the local Lehigh Valley/Eastern Pennsylvania Region. The firm originally offered services in land development, traffic and transportation design, topographic survey, construction stakeout, and boundary survey. As the staff has grown and developed, municipal and expert witness services were added, while the traffic and highway services became a particular strength of the firm.

Benchmark has performed local surveying since our founding, both to support our engineering projects, and to support our clients directly. All Benchmark Civil Engineering Services, Inc. survey work is performed by a Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) holding licenses in Pennsylvania and New York. Surveys are performed for several purposes. They can be made for property line retracement based on current deed descriptions to ensure that a property being transferred is as represented. They can be used to determine if there are physical encroachments on your property and/or the adjacent property.
