Congratulations to our Richmond and Williamsburg surveying teams for winning the Virginia Association of Surveyor's Annual Convention Plat Contest. We had a great time during our fall company activities! Since we couldn't party during a pandemic, we met in small groups and participated in several small outdoor activities.
AES offers clients highly-experienced surveying staff including survey managers, licensed land surveyors, designers, and records and research managers. Survey staff supports both civil site design efforts as well as stand-alone data collection components such as ALTA surveys or subdivision plats. AES survey managers are experienced in engineering design, resulting in informed and accurate field data representation. Field crews utilize Trimble 5800 and R10 GPS receivers, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble VX Scanning Total Stations, and AutoCAD Civil 3D mapping software.
Landscape architects at AES understand the value of achieving the client's vision and blending it with surrounding natural and developed features through landscape architecture. AES plans create a sustainable sense of place while maintaining public safety, health, and well-being. Selected planting palettes provide year-around interest while minimizing maintenance. AES works to ensure compatibility and integration of development features, such as site lighting, amenities, and hardscaping, contributing to a cohesive overall site design.
AES provides civil site design services for residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, mixed-use developments, and many other land development projects. Developers, property owners, general contractors, real estate brokers, architects, land use attorneys, municipalities, and other clients benefit from site planning that maximizes land use and minimizes construction costs. Providing high-quality construction documents on time and within budget are the hallmarks of the firm's service. Clients often comment that AES plans are some of the most clear and constructible in the business.
Our surveyors found an interesting boundary marker at a site in Dinwiddie County. Someone placed this railroad track vertically in the ground as a "called for" property corner. They never know what they are going to find in the field!
Happy National Chili Day! Does anyone know of any good recipes that we could try? #NationalChiliDa y #hungryforchili
Our Richmond crew keeps the fun going, despite the times, by having socially distanced meals together.
