Rowe Engineering & Surveying was originally founded in 1954 under the name of Rowe Surveying and Engineering, Company, Inc. In May of 2019, the firm was acquired by long-term employee and former vice president, Cecil "Zeke" Hudson, and continues to specialize in civil engineering services ranging from small grading and drainage plans to complex and large-scale hydraulic modeling projects. RES was engaged to provide civil engineering, surveying, and permitting services for a 67-lot, resort-style cottage subdivision. The site, which was planned and designed around two existing coastal lakes, featured the design and construction of a permeable paver system within internal roadways. While enhancing the aesthetic value of the site, this design allowed for the incorporation of a stormwater management system within the roadway. The design permitted the owner to maximize the developable area while also more closely integrating the site with the existing coastal environment.
