Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. (CTA) is very proud to be celebrating our 58th year! CTA was founded in 1961 by Mr. Warren Craven, P.E when he left his position as Assistant City Engineer for the City of Fort Lauderdale to start this firm. It was originally founded as an engineering and surveying firm, dedicated primarily to serving the needs of private sector clients in the rapid growing area of South Florida. Over the past 50+ years, Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. has grown into a multi-disciplinary firm comprised of specialized teams, each fully staffed with top caliber surveyors, engineers, land planners, landscape architects and support personnel, serving clients in both the public and private sectors.
Craven Thompson & Associates has been actively involved in Construction Services on our engineering projects since the creation of the firm. The Department has evolved based on the needs of our Clients and projects over the years. We are dedicated to provide the necessary Construction Services in a responsive and professional manner to move the project forward to successful completion.
Currently we have 85 employees of which there are 17 Professional Engineers, four Registered Surveyors and four Registered Landscape Architects. Our staff experience ranges from new graduates to over 40 years and nearly 50% of our staff have been with CTA for over ten years. At CTA we offer a wide range of civil engineering capabilities that we coordinate with our planners, surveyors, landscape architects and G.I.S. specialists, to provide a total coordinated project from site evaluation to a completion.
